I scream......

June 13, 2015-

On this hot and humid Saturday today, ok there was a little breeze here but still limited time outside and then inside to keep cool! Anyway, at noon today I was allowed to have an ice cream cone, in the gazebo! I gobbled it down right away.....this is the only photo I allowed Pam to take of me......I ate no wait inhaled my ice cream cone so fast Pam had to be really fast to get something! Actually she didn't do so bad!

I love to dig and nest around the yard.....you can see me digging in the photo to the left. I think Pam thinks I'm weeding....and I am doing some weeding here. Actually I was looking for more ice cream but alas I found none......I wonder if I can get permission from my family to have another. But Pam said ONLY one cone- maybe next month she'll make some doggy ice cream for me and bring it over to me to have at home!

I guess I can settle for that one!

When Pam was in the house and left us outside to enjoy the outdoors, the nice weather and all the yard had to offer. I came up on the porch and banged on the door and said "HEY get your butt out here now Pam!" What the ?!?!!??!? You are my friend and I would like to spend some time with you now before I have to go home! I even pushed Candycane who is standing behind me in the photo to the right, off the porch, I mean please I am the guest!

Pam opened the door to the truck for Scout to jump up BUT I had other plans.....so I put my snoot in the back and my front paws up on the truck, and she gave me a boost up and I check out the back of the truck! Then I claimed it for my own for the day, when Scout came sniffing about I looked at him gave him a sniff and said no way this is mine today! And Scout backed away! HA!

I had fun with my Security leash and jump over the earthboxes, and going into the gazebo- which I also claimed for my own.........

I will be sad to go home but at the same time happy to go as well.....that way I do not have to share my humans with any other dogs!

Until tomorrow,
have a tail waggin', ice screamin' day,
Buddy

My First Blog!

June 12, 2015-

Ok, so today I have to admit I had a nice quiet and far from lonely stay at my friends house. I slept in the same room with Candycane, while Sandy and Scout slept in the bedroom with Pam. It was nice and cool as the AC was on! And I got to lie on the cool tiles, I mean please look at my thick fur coat in my photo to the right! Pam put out not bowls of water but buckets, LITERALLY buckets......and you know what I have my own bucket of water! (I wonder if she'll let me take one home?!?!?!?)

Okay, so I have this thing I do....a lot of dogs if not all do this as well, we nest. That means we kinda dig in one or two spots to call it our own. We clear it out if need be, but we also leave our scent behind by moving our paws along the surface of the area, so that the oils from our paws tell other dogs we were here and we claimed it for our own! Can you tell I've made myself at home here?!?!?!? Don't worry, I am not home home, BUT I am comfortable enough to be left here by my human companions if need be- LIKE for the next few days!

This doesn't mean I still do not need my security "blanket" or in this case my security LEASH! Just like Pam, Skyler, Sandy, Candycane, and Scout's book title implies....I like to GET MY LEASH ON! (or at least in my mouth if not actually going for a walk or little run with Pam!) I wonder if she'll walk with me even a little bit this time!?!?!? She said we were going to walk up and down the driveway (a hilly driveway)! This will help build the strength in my front and hind legs! She said it worked for years with Skyler! Maybe it can help me!

All in All, I want to say I am happy to be with my friends here when my family needs to take care of things that take them away from home and not with me. I know they care for me and want me to be well taken care of! Pam said she made some vegan doggy ice cream (dairy free!) to MY humans and when she said she would give any to me she said WHY NOT? So guess what I get some ice cream today too! I hope it's in a cone.....I promise to eat it slowly! So I do not throw it up afterwards. Pam said she could control the way I eat it more when she makes up cones for us! And yes, they will be VEGAN ice cream cones! I do love my fellow animals as well and care for their well being! Also VEGAN is a lot healthier for all of us as well!

Oh and one more thing.....I love the doggy door that Scout, and the gang have here, I had to be introduced to it BUT hey it gives me free reign. I can go in and out of the house as I please and do not have to worry about let the outside be air conditioned, or the bugs inviting themselves in! And I do not have to wait for Pam to open the door for me each time I want to go out or come in! I am Independent!

Until tomorrow,
have a tail waggin' day,
Oh yeah, I wish my human Ron to come down with a case of Scout Syndrome,
