June 12, 2015-
Ok, so today I have to admit I had a nice quiet and far from lonely stay at my friends house. I slept in the same room with Candycane, while Sandy and Scout slept in the bedroom with Pam. It was nice and cool as the AC was on! And I got to lie on the cool tiles, I mean please look at my thick fur coat in my photo to the right! Pam put out not bowls of water but buckets, LITERALLY buckets......and you know what I have my own bucket of water! (I wonder if she'll let me take one home?!?!?!?)

Okay, so I have this thing I do....a lot of dogs if not all do this as well, we nest. That means we kinda dig in one or two spots to call it our own. We clear it out if need be, but we also leave our scent behind by moving our paws along the surface of the area, so that the oils from our paws tell other dogs we were here and we claimed it for our own! Can you tell I've made myself at home here?!?!?!? Don't worry, I am not home home, BUT I am comfortable enough to be left here by my human companions if need be- LIKE for the next few days!

This doesn't mean I still do not need my security "blanket" or in this case my security LEASH! Just like Pam, Skyler, Sandy, Candycane, and Scout's book title implies....I like to GET MY LEASH ON! (or at least in my mouth if not actually going for a walk or little run with Pam!) I wonder if she'll walk with me even a little bit this time!?!?!? She said we were going to walk up and down the driveway (a hilly driveway)! This will help build the strength in my front and hind legs! She said it worked for years with Skyler! Maybe it can help me!

All in All, I want to say I am happy to be with my friends here when my family needs to take care of things that take them away from home and not with me. I know they care for me and want me to be well taken care of! Pam said she made some vegan doggy ice cream (dairy free!) to MY humans and when she said she would give any to me she said WHY NOT? So guess what I get some ice cream today too! I hope it's in a cone.....I promise to eat it slowly! So I do not throw it up afterwards. Pam said she could control the way I eat it more when she makes up cones for us! And yes, they will be VEGAN ice cream cones! I do love my fellow animals as well and care for their well being! Also VEGAN is a lot healthier for all of us as well!
Oh and one more thing.....I love the doggy door that Scout, and the gang have here, I had to be introduced to it BUT hey it gives me free reign. I can go in and out of the house as I please and do not have to worry about let the outside be air conditioned, or the bugs inviting themselves in! And I do not have to wait for Pam to open the door for me each time I want to go out or come in! I am Independent!
Until tomorrow,
have a tail waggin' day,
Oh yeah, I wish my human Ron to come down with a case of Scout Syndrome,
